Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes (PV) located on 102 private acres of California's secluded Palos Verdes Peninsula offers scenic views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island and easy trails for nice walks. You don't have to stay at the resort to access the trails and can have lunch or drink at the resort.
South Coast Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes – The South Coast Botanic Garden, "The Jewel of the Peninsula", is located on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula, located 10 miles south of the Los Angeles Airport in California. Conveniently located to many South Bay communities, this 87-acre Botanic Garden has more than 2,500 different species of plants from as far away as Australia, the Mediterranean, and southern Africa
Wayfarers Chapel – Designed by Lloyd Wright Wayfarers Chapel, or "The Glass Church" is located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. It has unique organic architecture sited on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean.
Point Vicente Lighthouse and Interpretive Center Hike – This is one of the most dramatic viewpoints on the Southern California coast and it is free! Plenty of parking and you can hike back to Terranea.
Abalone Cove – Abalone Cove Reserve features two beaches (Abalone Cove and Sacred Cove). Explore the tide pools, bluff top viewing areas and trails crisscrossing the area.
Hermosa Beach & Manhattan Beach- the next two beaches over - both have piers that are nearly as cool as Santa Monica and will require minimal driving. People can start walking on "the Strand" in Redondo Beach and that strand goals all the way to Hermosa Pier and Manhattan Pier
